Gainesville High junior Spencer Ralston carded a 5-under 67 to win the US Open local qualifier Monday at Chateau Elan in Braselton. He won by one shot over Jimmy Beck, from Columbus, and Paul Apyan, of Chattanooga, Tenn. With the win, Ralston moves on to the US Open sectional at Hawks Ridge in Ball Ground.
