Gainesville’s Michael Gettys was named the Region 8-AAAAA All-Region Pitcher of the Year, announced Friday. Gainesville coach Jeremy Kemp received Coach of the Year honors, and Red Elephants baseball players Hunter Anglin, Caleb Whitenton, Sims Griffith, Luke Moore and Jonathan Gettys also earned spots on the All-Region team. Jonathan Hughes and Brad Keller of Flowery Branch also earned All-Region honors.
