Flowery Branch was eliminated by Dunwoody on Friday in a two game sweep in the first round of the Class AAAA state playoffs.
The Falcons, a No. 3 seed from Region 8, finished the year 17-7.
The Falcons lost 8-7 in Game 1 and 3-0 in Game 2.
Logan Hale earned both wins for the Wildcats (21-6), a No. 2 seed from Region 6.
In Game 1, the Falcons took a 6-5 lead in the seventh, but the Wildcats tied the game in the bottom half of the inning. The Falcons again took the lead in the ninth, but Dunwoody won on a walk-off home run.
Brody Thomas was 4-for-5 with four runs, Jesse Brookshire was 5-for-5 with two RBIs and Chase Hulsey was 2-for-4 with two RBIs for the Falcons.
Hale, who pitched the ninth inning of Game 1, kept the Falcons off balance in Game 2, scattering five hits over seven innings.
Thomas was 2-for-3 in Game 2.
