Dawson County boys defeated Buford 42-35 in the second round of the Class AA state playoffs Wednesday in Dawsonville.
The Tigers' first trip to the state quarterfinals will be against Jordan at 5:30 p.m. Friday at the Northwest Georgia Trade Center in Dalton.
