Chestatee High senior Brandon Thompson finished second in the 100 meter race in the finals of the Georgia Olympics on Saturday in Jefferson. Running in Class AAAA, Thompson, a University of South Carolina signee, crossed the finish line at 11.07 seconds, just behind winner Nick Davis of Mary Persons with a time of 11.05. Thompson was a state runner-up in the 100 as a junior for the War Eagles.
