High school wrestling: North Hall earns spot in Class 3A state championship
Defending state champions will face Jefferson at 3 p.m. Saturday in Macon

The North Hall High wrestling team topped Jackson County, 43-18, in the Class 3A state duals semifinals Friday in Macon. With the win, the defending 3A state champions will face Jefferson, which has a state title in duals every year since the team format started in 2002.

For the Trojans, Christian Contreras (113 pounds), Jacob Pedraza (120), Damon Campbell (126), Matthew Glenn (132), Hayden Cook (145), Cody Smith (152), Dalton Battle (170), Logan Hawthorne (195), Seth Carlton (220) and Bowie Eisenberg (285) all scored points with a win.

Jefferson beat Sonoraville, 33-24, in its semifinal match.

North Hall’s match against Jefferson will start at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Macon Centreplex.
