Georgia Tech women come-from-behind on the road

STARKVILLE, Miss. — Georgia Tech had a 44-point second half to beat Mississippi State 70-58 in a come-from-behind victory on Sunday.
Janie Mitchell, a Jackson, Miss. native, scored 23 points and eight rebounds and Chioma Nnamaka scored 11 points to help Tech (8-1) earn its first win against the Lady Bulldogs (8-3). Jill Ingram had 13 points, four rebounds and four steals off the bench.
It was the Lady Bulldogs' first home loss of the season and snapped a four-game winning streak.
Mississippi State jumped out to an early 12-4 lead that grew to 29-26 at halftime.
In the second half, the Yellow Jackets stepped up its defense, forcing Mississippi State to have eight turnovers. The Jackets outscored the Lady Bulldogs 44-29 after halftime and made 92.9 percent of second-half free throws for the win.
Tech also outrebounded the Lady Bulldogs by 18 and had 19 rebounds in the second half.
Tysheka Grimes had a season-high 21 points and Alexis Rack had 15 points for Mississippi State.
