Sixth-ranked North Carolina scored eight runs in the second inning en route to a 13-10 win over No. 3 Georgia Tech on Sunday afternoon in Atlanta.
The Jackets (19-6, 9-4 ACC) stranded runners in seven of the nine innings, leaving a total of 13 runners on base. With the win, the Tar Heels handed Tech its first series loss of the season.
Georgia Tech returns to action when it plays host to Georgia Southern at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
