Richt doubles Bulldog freshman's suspensions

University of Georgia football coach Mark Richt has doubled the one-game suspension initially issued to redshirt freshman fullback Fred Munzenmaier for his arrest last weekend on alcohol-related charges.

"I’m adding a second game to the original one-game suspension after reading the complete police report and discussing it with Fred," said Richt. "The way he handled the situation with the police officer was totally inappropriate and demonstrated a lack of respect for authority."

Munzenmaier will miss the first two games of the 2008 season against Georgia Southern and Central Michigan.
