Gainesville earns sizable tennis win against Riverside Military

Dylan Pineda won in straight sets in Gainesville’s 5-0 victory over Riverside Military Academy on Thursday. Also for the Red Elephants (8-0), Philip Mady and Ben Burns had wins in singles, while the teams of Michael Head/Caleb Anderson and Joseph Diaz/Matthew Carter won in doubles. 

Gainesville visits Dacula at 7:30 p.m. tonight.  

FLOWERY BRANCH GIRLS 5, WEST HALL 0: Annabelle Thomas, Alyssa McSpadden and Olivia Nance all won in singles for the Lady Falcons (7-3, 1-0 Region 7-4A). In doubles, wins came from the teams of Julianna Velja/Madison Sedwick and Christina Hotmer/Kim Raddatz.   

Flowery Branch visits Blessed Trinity at 4 p.m. on Thursday.

FLOWERY BRANCH BOYS 5, WEST HALL 0: Drayton Matus, Caden Caldwell and Jack Thomas all won in singles for the Falcons. Also for Flowery Branch, the teams of Gunnar Hetzel/Matthew Helms and Mauricio Castro/Ashton Brick had wins in doubles.  

NORTH HALL GIRLS 3, GREATER ATLANTA CHRISTIAN 2: Anna Montgomery won in straight sets singles action for the Lady Trojans (3-2, 1-0 Region 7-3A). Baylee Turner also won in singles for North Hall. Sydney Patterson/Raquel Kallab picked up a win in doubles. 

North Hall visits First Presbyterian Day on Saturday in Macon. 

GREATER ATLANTA CHRISTIAN BOYS 5, NORTH HALL 0: The Trojans are 1-4 and 0-1 in Region 7-3A.

BUFORD BOYS 3, CHAMBLEE 2: Brady Toddy, Dean Kingsley and Luke Davidson all won in singles for the Wolves (5-1).
