The Southeastern League of the United States Power Soccer Association will hold its first League Day of the 2010-11 season beginning at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Suwanee Sports Academy.

The first match of a day filled with games will be between the Division-I defending champion Atlanta Synergy and the Division-II defending champion North Georgia Screamin’ Eagles. North Georgia has won the Division-II championship each of the past two seasons.

The Southeastern League consists of 13 teams in six different states and will hold League Days at 10 different locations across the region. The sport of Power Soccer consists of athletes with various disabilities playing in power chairs.

“I would like to see more teams started here in Georgia, especially in places like Macon, Savannah and Columbus, but the only team south of Atlanta is the Carroll County Dominators,” Justin Pressley of the Screamin’ Eagles said. “We have a long season ahead of us, but we are ready for the challenge.”
