The Luna's Tuesday golf group played at Chattahoochee Golf Course this week. First place went to the team of Stan Davidson Jr, Nelson Wright, Richard Strickland and Doug Van.
Second place went to the team of Joe Roberts, Joe Campbell, Tommy Lowery, and Doug McMahan.
Gene Weschler, Bud Chandler, Jerry Johns, and Frank House finished third.
Closest to the pin winners were Strickland (No. 5), Davidson (Nos. 3 and 12), and McMahan (No. 17).
CLGA: The Chattahoochee Ladies Golf Association played an individual low gross, low net, low putts event on Tuesday at the Chattahoochee Golf Course.
Ann Hollobaugh took low gross. Nora Gleason won in low net. Norma Remmlinger and Violet Reynolds tied in low putts.
Closest to the pin winners were Gleason (No. 3) and Nancy Negley (No. 17).
Wednesday Dogfight: The Wednesday Dogfight played a two best-ball, net event at Chicopee Woods this week.
Two teams tied at 17-under par for first place: Tommy Calhoun, Karl Steigele, Ron Melin and Jim Arendt, Geoff Archibald and Terry Clegg.
In third was the team of Cleve Sexton, Phil Rothermul, Dan Arthurs at 16-under par.
Individual net scores were kept as well. Clegg came in first with a score of 61. Phil Rothermul, Gayle Gibson, and Melin shot a 65 to finish in a tie for second.
CMGA: The Chatahoochee Men's Golf Association played its annual two-man team championship tournament Wednesday and Thursday at Chattahoochee Golf Club.
In first place were Larry Cohan and Wayne Nelson, who shot a best-ball score of 113.
Bob Watson and Roger Miller finished two shots back at 115. Gene Weschler and Tommy Lowery placed third at 117.
Wednesday's closest to the pin winners were Don Sorrell (No. 3), Bud Clegg (No. 5), Paul Payne (No. 12), and Clay Bartlett (No. 17).
On Thursday, Sorrell again won closest to the pin on No. 3. Other winners on Thursday were Cohan (No. 5), Miller (No. 12), and Bill Kinser (No. 17).
DPG: The Dedicated Players Group played matches on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday this week at Chicopee Woods.
On Monday, Dave Jetter took first place, and was followed by Horace Smallwood in second and Martha Shell placed third.
Jetter took first place on Wednesday again. Steve Knowles won second place, and Smallwood won third place.
Friday, Smallwood tied with Dennis Jones for first place. Bob Kidd won second place.
