Local golf: Chattahoochee Men's Golf Group plays Stableford points game

The Chattahoochee Men’s Golf Association played a three-best total Stableford points game Wednesday. First place was the team of Clay Bartlett, Johnny Little, Scott Adams and Dave Long.

Second place was the team of Ben Brooks, Gary Palmer, Don Gardner and Mike Kuczmarski.

Third place was a tie between the team of Roy Bartlett, Bob Respess, Harry Barnett and Horace

Smallwood, the team of Jere Cochran, Bob Allen, Jim Griffin and J.B. Johnston and the team of Bill Ingram, Don Sorrell and Harmon Smith.

Closest to the pin winners were Clay Bartlett (No. 3), Carlyle Cox (No. 5), Jack Costello (No. 12) and Scott Adams (No. 17).
The Wednesday Dogfights at Chicopee Woods Golf Course played a best-three-net scores out of four.

The first place team was Tommy Calhoun, Ken Dooley, Steve Noah and Lou Vega (minus-21). The second place team was Tom Bolton, Phil Rothermel, Ray Shead and Keith Fitzgerald (minus-20).

First place in individual net score was Ken Dooley (68). Tied for second was Cleve Sexton and Terry McFarland (69). Tied for fourth was Phil

Rothermel, Keith Fitzgerald, Eric Awtry, Terry Clegg and Tommy Calhoun (70).

LUNA'S TUESDAY GROUP: The Luna’s Tuesday golf group played at Chattahoochee Golf Course this week. First place went to the team of Gene Weschler, Tom Sexton, Don Rogers and Jim Cornett.

Tied for second place were the teams of Joe Roberts, Daryl Dunckel, Gene Cobb and Johnny Nix, and that of Jerry Johns, Richard Strickland, Randy Gordy and Karl Steigele.

Closest to the pin winners were Cobb (No. 3), Nix (No. 5), Johns (No.12) and Gordy (No. 17).
