The Truett-McConnell College men’s basketball team rallied to hand Loyola University its first loss 88-85 Saturday night.
Senior guard Roderick Bombard led the Bears (4-1) with 28 points. Bombard shot 10 of 24 from the floor, including 6 of 15 behind the 3-point line.
Anthony Dorsey and Bernard Niugent added 23 and 15 points respectively.
Daniel Chatchou and Tyron Louis led the Bears with 12 and 11 rebounds apiece. Chatchou also had a big defensive block while shutting down the paint.
The Bears travel to Division II opponent North Georgia College and State University at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
