The Piedmont College baseball team was eliminated from the NCAA South Regional Tournament, falling for the second time in postseason play to the Hornets of Shenandoah University.

Though the Lions lost 6-1, they finish the season 32-15, which is the second winningest season in the program’s NCAA era.

Despite being eliminated from regional action, the Lions posted a third-place finish at the tourney, which is their best-ever showing in NCAA postseason action.
