The Piedmont College volleyball team will play Emory University in the first round of the NCAA Division III regional tournament at 8 p.m. Friday at Emory University in Atlanta.

Piedmont College earned the Great South Athletic Conference’s automatic berth into the NCAA tournament by winning the league’s championship tournament last weekend in Decatur.

The NCAA appearance is the second for the Lady Lions’ volleyball program, with the first coming in 2007.
