North Georgia College & State University softball player Jessica Coan has been named the Peach Belt Conference Pitcher of the Week after recording 19 strikeouts in a win against Lenoir-Rhyne last week.

The junior's strikeout total was the second most in NCAA Division II history in a 7-inning contest. Coan's earned run average is currently 0.26 on the season with a total of 98 strikeouts in eight wins.

The Lady Saints host Tusculum for a doubleheader on Friday.
