North Georgia College & State University softball player Jessica Coan was named the Peach Belt Conference Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday.

The senior was nearly perfect in four appearances last weekend at the Loyal Blue Classic when she picked up three wins and added a save for the unbeaten and No. 3 Lady Saints.

In her four appearances this week over 18.1 innings, Coan had 28 strikeouts and walked just four batters. She allowed just seven hits as opponents are hitting .123 against the righthander in 57 at-bats.

After finishing 5th in the country in strikeouts a year ago, Coan currently leads the Peach Belt Conference in strikeouts per game at 10.69.
