After suffering their first loss of the year last week, the North Georgia women’s soccer team dropped three spots to No. 13 in the country in the latest edition of the NSCAA Division II Top 25 poll.
Armstrong Atlantic is the only other Peach Belt Conference program in the national rankings, as the Pirates leaped four spots to No. 18 at 10-2-1 on the season.
Two more Peach Belt Conference games await the Lady Saints this week. They will host Georgia Southwestern on Wednesday evening before Lander University comes to town on Saturday afternoon in a battle that features two of the top five teams in the region.
North Georgia is 2-4 all time against Lander, including a 2-1 victory on the road last season that featured a goal from Kelsey Martin with just 23 seconds remaining in regulation.
The Lady Saints (11-1, 6-1 PBC) are 7-0 all time against the Hurricanes and have never allowed a goal in the series history, outscoring GSW 41-0 along the way.
