Facing its first deficit of the year, the North Georgia College & State University women's soccer team put together a second-half rally on Sunday to remain perfect on the season and sneak away with a 2-1 victory at Mount Olive College in non-conference action.
The Lady Saints (2-0) found themselves in a hole early when Mary Knepp slid a pass to Sarah Porter, who finished from 15 yards out to give Mount Olive a 1-0 advantage.
Despite eight shots in the opening half, the Lady Saints trailed by a goal heading into intermission.
Forced to battle back for the first time during the 2011 campaign, North Georgia proved resilient and tallied a goal 10 minutes into the second half to knot the score at a goal apiece.
The Lady Saints benefited from a Mount Olive foul in the box and Natalie Douglass stepped up and drilled the penalty kick to secure the equalizer.
