Daniel McCrary, a Lumpkin County grad, pitched his first-career complete-game shutout for the University of North Georgia baseball team, and the seventh-ranked Nighthawks completed the sweep of Armstrong State in a 4-0 victory on Sunday in Dahlonega. McCrary (4-1) also picked up his fourth win from the mound by striking out four while only surrendering eight hits. After Trevor Sams put the Nighthawks (16-4) ahead 1-0 in the bottom of the second with a solo home run to left-center field, the Nighthawks got a three-run shot from Michael Gouge, his seventh of the season, in the bottom of the seventh to put the game out of reach.
