North Georgia & State University added four players to the roster on Monday.

The Lady Saints will welcome two transfers and a pair of incoming freshmen.

Gainesville High graduate Jaymee Carnes, formerly of Wake Forest, and Crystal Moore, formerly of Motlow State Junior College, bring college experience, while Giovanni Sims of Milton High and Stephanie Huffman of Etowah High will make their collegiate debuts this fall.

Carnes, a 6-foot-1 sophomore forward, saw action in 28 games, including one start, while at Wake Forest. In high school, she was a four-time selectiong to The Times’ All-Area team, and a two-time All-Region choice.

Moore, a 5-9 sophomore forward, was the team leader in scoring with 10.1 points per game at Motlow State.

Simms, a 5-11 freshman forward, was named Region 6-AAAAA All-Region honorable mention during her senior year at Milton.

Huffman, a 5-9 freshman guard is the sister of assistant coach Lindsay Huffman. She was named the Region 5-AAAAA Co-Player of the Year and named to the AJC All-State team.

“We are extremely excited to have these accomplished recruits join our basketball family,” Burson said. “They are all proven winners who have shown the ability to lead a team and perform well at high levels.

The Lady Saints will add these four to a class which already includes Amanda Rector and Torey Hyder, which signed letters of intent during the NCAA’s early signing period.
