The Atlanta Hawks have signed guard Jeremy Richardson for the rest of the season, general manager Billy Knight said Monday. Richardson was signed earlier to two 10-day contracts with Atlanta and appeared in nine games, averaging 3 points and 6.6 minutes.
The 6-foot-7, 195-pound Richardson, out of Delta State, spent much of the 2006-07 season in the NBA Development League. He averaged 28.5 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.6 steals in eight games with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. and was the MVP of the 2008 D-League All-Star game, scoring 22 points.
