ATLANTA — Former Atlanta Braves scouting director Roy Clark is returning to the team as special assistant to the general manager.

Interim general manager John Hart also announced Tuesday that Gordon Blakeley, who had been a special assistant to the GM for the Yankees since 2008, is accepting that role with the Braves.

Clark, 57, spent 22 years with the Braves before serving as Washington's assistant general manager from 2010 to 2013. He worked last season in the Dodgers' scouting department.

Blakeley, 60, was with the Yankees for more than two decades, including as farm director.

Hart also announced the promotion of Brian Bridges to scouting director. Dave Trembley was named director of player development. Jonathan Schuerholz, the son of team president John Schuerholz, was named assistant director of player development.
