Jefferson sophomore running back Colby Wood had 45 carries for 285 yards and four touchdowns in the Dragons 27-8 win over Elbert County in a battle of unbeatens Friday night in Elberton.

Wood also had 21 receiving yards and an interception on defense.

The Dragons defense held Elbert County scoreless until the ten minute mark of the fourth quarter. Jefferson led 14-0 at the half and 21-0 after three quarters.

Jefferson (6-0, 2-0 Region 8-AAA) hosts Morgan County 7:30 p.m. next Friday.
