Riverside stopped by Washington-Wilkes 14-3

Washington-Wilkes held off Riverside Military Academy for a 14-3 win in a defensive battle Friday night in Washington.
The Eagles jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the second quarter on a 31-yard Jordan Ainslie field goal but were unable to hold on.

Riverside running back Kaseem Dukes had 15 carries for 100 yards and two catches for 80 yards. Javon Thompson had three catches for 61 yards and quarterback Chandler Jones went 5-for-14 passing for 137 yards and an interception.

Riverside’s Elijah Watson had a sack and the defense forced two turnovers.

Riverside Military (1-5, 0-2 8-AA) hosts Oglethorpe County 7:30 p.m. next Friday.
