Jackson County earns playoff spot with 33-28 win

Jackson County clinched a playoff spot for the first time in 20 years with a 33-28 win over Elbert County on Friday in Jefferson. The Panthers (6-3, 4-2 Region 8-AAA) were led by Dustin Scott who recorded 165 yards and two touchdowns on 22 attempts rushing and made four catches for 39 yards and two more scores. Kyle Daniel was 19-of-26 for 210 yards and two touchdowns passing with one interception and 13 yards rushing for Jackson County.
