Habersham still winless after 42-35 loss at Centennial

Habersham Central turned up the offense on Friday night but it wasn't enough in a 42-35 loss to Centennial in Roswell.

Raiders junior running back Michael Babers had four total touchdowns (two rushing, two receiving).

The Raiders went on a seven-play, 70-yard touchdown drive to cut the deficit to seven with two minutes remaining but failed to recover the ensuing onside kick.

Babers had 30 carries for 179 yards and four catches for 43 yards,

Habersham Central junior quarterback Cole Wilbanks went 11 for 21 passing for 170 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.

Habersham Central (0-7, 0-6 6-AAAAAA) hosts Johns Creek 7:30 p.m. next Friday.
