Habersham Central falls to Lambert 21-7

Lambert took a lead before halftime and held off Habersham Central 21-7 at Raider Stadium Friday night.
Raiders quarterback Cole Wilbanks connected with Mason Kinsey on a 27-yard touchdown pass to tie the game 7-7 with 1:24 left in the half.

On the following possession, Lambert took it the length of the field to retake the lead with 24 seconds left until halftime. The Longhorns scored the final touchdown on a 61-yard pass in the fourth quarter.

Habersham Central’s Wilbanks went 10 for 25 for 94 yards and a touchdown. Kinsey had six catches for 77 yards and a touchdown and running back Michael Babers had 13 carries for 43 yards.

The Raiders defense was led by Cody Patterson with 12 tackles and Jeremiah Nicely with 10 tackles.

Habersham Central (0-6, 0-5 6-AAAAAA) visits Centennial 7:30 p.m. next Friday.
