Led by Jamond Witt's four touchdowns, the East Hall High football team opened subregion play with a 42-26 win over Rabun County on Friday in Tiger.
"We had roughly around 500 yards rushing," East Hall coach Bryan Gray said. "Our offensive line did a great job and opened up some great holes.
"We were finally able to run the ball inside, which is something we've struggled to do this season."
Zach Groover and Austen Mahaffey each added touchdowns for East Hall (2-3, 1-0 Region 8A-AA).
"Sterling Bailey played a tremendous game with a number of tackles for loss," Gray said. "Overall, our defense played pretty well."
East Hall plays host to Union County at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
