Every second half possession for both teams resulted in a score, but it wasn’t quite enough for Commerce in a 42-27 loss to Prince Avenue on Friday in Bogart.
Grant Mayberry notched 88 yards on 11 carries and caught a touchdown pass from Commerce quarterback Caleb Brooks.
Cole Chancey scored on a 5-yard run and totaled 36 yards on 11 rushes. Brooks also had a 29-yard scoring pass to J’Varius Wood for the Tigers, and Will Thomas scores on a 22-yard run.
Commerce finished with 308 yards of offense compared to 404 yards for Prince Avenue.
The Tigers (4-2, 3-1 Region 8-A) have a bye next Friday night before visiting Providence Christian on Oct. 17 in Lilburn.
