There are two changes our government needs to make prior to our next general election. They are term limits and elimination of the electoral college.
The major problem in our political system today are career politicians. They care more about getting re-elected and their party controlling the House and Senate. The gridlock in Washington is attributed to these two items.
The time has passed for the way we elect our presidents. The electoral college should be abolished once and for all. I always thought the government was for the people, by the people and of the people. It should take all 50 states to elect our presidents, not a handful. This political football is a farce, and a slap in the face to the people of this country. It’s also an embarrassment to the rest of the world.
Come on, America. Step up to the plate and let your congressman know how we the people feel about these two items.
