Education on the transportation tax begins should have been an appropriate headline to the Oct. 16 transportation tax article because we need to educate ourselves first before battling it out one way or the other.
As a Gainesville resident, I am aware of the opportunities roads bring in moving people around and helping the local economy. I attended a few meetings in the past and always got my questions and concerns answered by Hall County's Srikanth Yamala.
All of us could contact his office to find out more about the projects and the tax before we make up our minds.
