Hall County has chosen a winner in the appointment of Vickie Neikirk to be finance director.
In the years prior to 2004, I had frequent meetings with Ms. Neikirk when gathering information for the Hall County Taxpayer Association. She was always businesslike but courteous and knowledgeable. We could go to Vickie with a budget or operating expense question and get factual answers in short order.
Although I am no longer a Hall County resident, if I had been on the selection committee and knew Ms. Neikirk was available, she would have been my first choice for finance director.
