Dear Old Joe: I’ve crossed your path for years now. I feel a wave of grief every time I do. I grieve for ALL the lives lost in that war to end slavery and all wars everywhere. I grieve for ALL soldiers everywhere who were put in the position to kill. I grieve for ALL people who have experienced terrorism and bigotry.
