I'm relatively new to Gainesville, and I've recently subscribed to The Times. I appreciate its reporting on the recent protests, including coverage of the demands for removal of the Confederate statue in the town square (I have to admit, when I moved here, I was shocked to find such a remnant of racism in my new hometown).
