In regard to the $13.8 million in federal funding provided to the city of Gainesville for public transit: Transportation is a perfect example of what’s wrong with our country today. I see the empty trolleys and vans running around the square daily.

I’m sure its a good thing for a few citizens, but $13.8 million? Gainesville may need some of this in about 10 years, but not now. Waste of billions of dollars all through government is part of the reason inflation is soaring and trust in government is at an all time low — tens of billions left in Afghanistan, when most of the aircraft and other equipment should have been removed in an orderly fashion, hundreds of acres full of fencing material left where a wall was supposed to be built on our Western border and the millions of healthy Americans that receive federal checks sitting in their government housing, while employers beg for workers.

Think of all the monies through out federal government that could be saved if we had common sense people running it.

Its time to vote all the incompetents in Washington out. Both parties are responsible for the waste.

Please vote in the elections in 2022, and if you know anyone that is not registered, ask them to do so. This insanity must be stopped.
