Opinion: Brian Kemp’s health care plan is bad for Georgia

Want to pay more and get less? Then Brian Kemp’s health care plan is for you! Kemp is planning to spend $215 million to cover only 80,000 Georgians, rejecting full Medicaid expansion that would cost $213 million and cover six times as many people — almost 500,000 Georgians. Hundreds of thousands of rural Georgians, thousands in our area alone, would benefit from an expansion. Instead, Kemp is planning to take money out of your pockets to pay for a less efficient system.

It’s absurd that our leaders are playing politics with health care, an issue that affects the lives of everyday Georgians. Tell Kemp that paying more for worse results isn’t acceptable and submit your comment to coverga.org by Dec. 3.
