Regardless of what the United Nations says or what individual countries or leaders say, the whole nation of Israel belongs to the Jewish people, not just a part of it. God gave it to them 4,000 years ago even though it has been overrun and changed hands 15-plus times since.
But the Jewish people always have had a presence there and many years before the Muslims conquered it, and before the so-called Palestinians settled some of their people there. “Palestine” is a Jewish term for the Jewish land; it is not an Arab or Muslim term, and inaccurately describes some of the enemies of Israel who illegally live in parts of Israel today.
The Bible says in Genesis 15: 18-21: “In the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abraham, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates (in Iraq) ...”
Geographically, the original land grant includes the upper eastern portion of Egypt, all of modern-day Israel, all of Lebanon and Syria, half of Iraq and the northern half of Jordan. The tiny fraction of Israel proper the Jews have today pales in comparison to how much God said they could really have.
So when you hear people talking about a “two-state solution,” and how they are going to divide Israel and give some of it to the so-called Palestinians, they are playing with fire and God will hold them accountable.
The United States needs to continuously support Israel as we have in the past, and thank goodness the new administration that will take office this week will do that.
