Once again, we are plagued by the pain of injury and a facture in society brought to the forefront by frustration and self-haters. A wise man named
King Solomon informed readers of the Bible that evil days will come, and now that time is here. But love is stronger than the self that processes it. Don’t be afraid to love yourself; love is contagious.
Six months into the year, the nation is yet suffering and bleeding from the wounds of hopelessness and irritation instead of working to make positive changes. Hope is the remote control that allows one to change a situation, and prayer is the inward sensor that activates the remote control to change one’s station in life. We are a nation founded in prayer, and on our currency is its signature: In God We Trust.
What have we learned from all of the senseless killings, mass murders and injury to others? What has happened can’t be undone, changed or altered, but it doesn’t have to be a repeat of the bad. Just put in new batteries and change our aim to a different direction.
I’m of the opinion that if we lift up others, the good we do will outlast adversity. We will learn to appreciate diversity as a strength because the good will outweigh the bad. As we collectively embrace the healing process of remembrance, let us know that life is precious and people are the staple of the community.
So let us focus on the good of humankind and the gift of life. Happy Flag Day, America, and Happy Father’s Day to all fathers. Remember, we need you, our sons and daughters need you and mothers need you as well.
Love is deeper than the hate that is shown. For God’s word goes straight from the pitcher’s mound to home plate, from outfield to dugout. Please give the idea of working together a chance.
