As perhaps one of the few Republicans to support President Barack Obama’s right under the constitution to select a nominee to fill Justice Scalia’s vacant seat on the U S Supreme Court, I have but one suggestion.
The U.S. Senate should advise the president it will be happy to consider his nominee once the FBI has completed its investigation of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s misuse of her private Internet server to conduct official duties in gross violation of federal law, and for erasing emails sent on that server in defiance of a subpoena for said data.
Mr. President, you just can’t have it both ways.
