A 13-year-old boy has been charged in Friday's burglary of a home in the 2100 block of Memorial Park Drive. The child was arrested following an investigation at the home.

The Hall County Sheriff's Office was called to the scene at 10 p.m. Friday. Upon arrival, deputies found that electronics, cash and jewelry had been stolen, said sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Stephen Wilbanks.

The homeowner said he saw a 13-year-old neighborhood boy who had burglarized the home previously around the home the day before.

Deputies found the juvenile suspect and, after a brief interview, took him into custody without incident, Wilbanks said.

He was transported to the Gainesville Regional Youth Detention Center, where he was booked in and charged with burglary. The stolen property has not yet been recovered.

The sheriff's office is still investigating the incident.
