A Gainesville man was seriously injured in a Friday morning wreck on Browns Bridge Road near Serene Shores Drive.

A Cadillac driven by Stephen Gordon, 20, was traveling eastbound about 7:40 a.m. on Browns Bridge Road when the driver crossed the centerline and was hit by a Chevrolet pickup truck traveling in the opposite direction, said Georgia State Patrol spokesman Gordy Wright.

Gordon was flown to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta with serious injuries while the driver of the truck, Janice Morgan of Gillsville, received only minor injuries and was not transported, Wright said.

The back of Gordon's Cadillac was heavily damaged and the truck overturned, coming to rest along the roadway.

The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the wreck.
