A car accident around 5:45 p.m. on Gillsville Highway shut down the road to traffic.

A car struck a utility pole, according to Hall County Fire EMS.

Injuries are minor, fire officials said. The Georgia State Patrol is investigating.

The road is expected to be closed until 7:30 p.m., Hall County Sheriff’s Office deputies said.
