The driver of a motorcycle was airlifted to an Atlanta hospital following a collision with a truck on Queen City Parkway Tuesday morning, officials said.

The accident happened about 11:40 a.m. near the Interstate 985 exit, officials with the Georgia State Patrol said.

The road was temporarily shut down while a helicopter landed in order to carry the motorcycle driver to Grady Memorial Hospital.

The motorcyclist’s name and condition were not available Tuesday.
