Much work remains in servicing the 42 million cars that have been recalled due to faulty and potentially fatal air bag inflators. Toyota and Honda are two of the companies that are affected by the recall of the Takata-made air bags, the largest in the history of the U.S. auto industry. The air bags, which can explode and send shrapnel flying toward passengers, have been responsible for the deaths of 11 people in the U.S. and as many as 16 worldwide, while 180 have been hurt in the U.S. Jimmy Hernandez, fixed operations director for Milton Martin Toyota in Gainesville, said parts are still not available at the dealership.
