Early estimates for grading and 10,000 cubic yards of soil needed as fill-in for the new City Hall site in Flowery Branch were off by $189,000, which has caused delays in the project. A February start of the project is now possible.
Construction of the new Flowery Branch City Hall has been delayed by unexpected costs involving soil needed for the project. Work had been planned to start in October on the $5 million project, but now it may get underway in early February, City Manager Bill Andrew said. Early estimates for grading and 10,000 cubic yards of soil needed as fill-in for the site were off by $189,000.
