With one qualifying candidate, Clermont has new councilwoman

It looks like Clermont has a new councilwoman.

Robin Brown was the sole qualifier this week for a vacant seat on the Clermont Town Council.

She will replace former Ward 1 Councilman Eric Thomas, who resigned earlier this year.

Brown, who couldn’t be reached for comment, will serve the rest of Thomas’ four-year term, which ends Dec. 31, 2019.

The North Hall town has a full, five-member council for the first time since May.
