The White County High School band is performing in New York City's annual St. Patrick’s Day parade, set to begin at 11 a.m.
The parade can be viewed online at www.nbcnewyork.com.
The band, about 160 members, goes on a trip annually and typically performs on that trip, Principal John Osborne said.
Osborne noted the parade is a “pretty big feather in their cap.”
He said the school’s band program has been prominent for years. Michael Pickett is the band director.
The band left Georgia on Tuesday and will be back Sunday.
