A property on Hidden Hills Drive, south of Browns Bridge Road, that was formerly home to a Mincey Marble plant will now be rezoned from planned industrial development to agricultural-residential after commissioners unanimously approved the idea Thursday.
Michael Massey, the current property owner, said he lives in the area and does not want to see an industrial use return to the site.
Mincey Marble, a Gainesville-based company, had moved production off the Hidden Hills Drive site.
The planning commission had recommended approval of the rezoning on March 4.
No one spoke against the rezoning at Thursday’s hearing.
